Unlocking the potential of organisations through their people is our passion

About Us

By providing honest, frank and confidential advice and solutions, Truth Monkey Consulting can help CEOs and Chairs shape strategies that maximise their organisation’s performance. Founded in 2010 by Graeme Etheridge, Truth Monkey Consulting was established in order to help organisations stretch their ambitions, improve their performance and unlock and harness the potential of their people.

Having had an extensive career within the commercialised not for profit and governmental sector, including having worked for the United Kingdom’s Cabinet Office and No.10, through to turning around an Operational Airfield, Graeme has strategic insight whilst understanding and being able to foresee operational necessities. He has extensive experience of reshaping organisation culture and structures, and business turnaround.

Graeme leads Truth Monkey Consulting Limited with passion, driven by a set of strong personal values, underpinned by his professional training and qualifications. He is also a member of both the Army & Navy Club and RAF Club, along with being a life member of Institute of Directors, and a Chartered Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. Graeme is also a trained coach and mentor.

Truth Monkey Consulting works with an extensive network of Associates. All of our Associates are focused on and deliver practical action-based solutions.  To quote one of our clients we are “Focussed, pragmatic, no nonsense, and with a good dose of common sense. Able to combine the importance of strategic activity with a focus on delivery. Essentially, they cut through the crap, get to the point and get things done.”  The last sentence is our favourite!

Our basic philosophies are that:

Mediocrity Won’t Do

  • Making your decisions and building your organisational strategies and plans, without challenging yourselves to be the best you can be, and understanding the truth, is a recipe for mediocrity and decline.

Organisational Enlightenment

  • Successful organisations must know themselves (and their customers and competition), their strengths and weaknesses, and where they will and won’t compromise. They need to be equipped with this insight to succeed.

Customer Perception is Their Reality

  • We understand that to an individual or community, their perception is to them, their reality; and that without the empathy and understanding of those perceptions, securing effective sustainable success is more difficult and more expensive!

Ambition drives Success

  • Borrowing Von Goethe’s observation: If you treat an employee or team as they are, that’s what they will be. If you treat them as they could be that’s what they will become. We believe everyone has potential, everyone has talent and that tackling poor performance is both essential and respectful.

  • If you don’t plan for success, how will you achieve it?
